Woman Capital's mission is to promote women in leadership positions in the both in business as well as in other sectors of society.

In order to remain attuned to the concerns of corporate leaders, we have asked four prominent members of the Dutch business community to become our Advisory Board. The distinguished backgrounds and differing perspectives of the Board members will help ensure that we stay in touch with issues and developments affecting top management.

Our Advisory Board consists of the following members:
 

Kees Beuving (1951) started his career in 1970 at the Amsterdam-Rotterdam Bank. After four years he joined Astramaris Shipping & Forwarding Agencies. He also fulfilled various financial and management positions at other companies including Gebr. Nijman, Algemene Bank Nederland, Generale Bank Nederland, and Fortis Bank (Nederland).

In 1994 he was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Generale Bank Nederland, and in June 1999 to the Board of Fortis Bank (Nederland). From October 2002 until September 2006 he held the position of Chairman of that Board.

Kees is a member of the Supervisory Board of Unicef Nederland, Chairman of the Board of Pension Fund Fortis Bank Nederland, member of the Supervisory Board of NIBE-SVV, Direct Holding and Currence, a member of the Advisory Board and Chairman of the Foundation to maintain the New Church in Amsterdam.

Floris Deckers (1950) began his career at the construction company Hollandsche Beton Groep. Between 1981 and 2003 he worked for ABN-AMRO in diverse management positions in various countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America. During the period between 2001 and 2004 he was the Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Dutch ABN AMRO Bank unit. Since May 2004 he is Chairman of the Board of F. van Lanschot Bankiers.

Floris is on the Supervisory Board of IBM Nederland, a member of the Board of Directors of Omroep Brabant, a member of the Board of the Nederlandse Vereniging van Banken, a Supervisory Board member of Aanbeveling ATA International Stichting and a member of the Advisory Council Uitgevende Instellingen Euronext.

Peter Elverding (1948) began his career in the health care industry before holding management positions at Akzo Nobel and department store concern De Bijenkorf. Upon joining DSM in 1985, he worked in different divisions of that corporation, including DSM-Resins and Research. Prior to becoming a member of the DSM Board of Directors in 1995, he was the Corporate Vice President of Human Resources. In the period 1999 through 2007, Peter was the CEO and Chairman of the DSM Executive Board.

In 2005 Peter was elected Manager of the Year. Currently he is a non executive Board Member at ING, SHV Holdings, and Océ (as Chairman) and is also a member of the University of Maastricht Supervisory Board.

Maarten Hulshoff (1947) began his career at Océ in 1973. He joined Citibank in 1976, where he held various management positions in Europe and Asia. In 1995 he worked for NCM Holding, and in 1999 was appointed CEO and Chairman of the Board of Rabobank International.

From 2001 until 2007 Maarten was the Chairman of the Rodamco Executive Board. Currently he is a Supervisory Board member for a number of international companies in the real estate sector.
